🎙Catching Up with Wellness Influencer Livi Love

by Fey   https://linktr.ee/feyugokwe.esq But it is life, here, that often moves against our currents—breaking too bad against our vessels to turn, tip, take them down, waterlogging our navigation, making us change course. We come to this planet prepped n’ ready to sail all the big tides and reach, walk hard on, all the shifting shores—but we each, we all, hit *walls*. So the question always is, what do you do when it does that? The answer is to right that ship, luv, and snatch *all* your power back.  I caught up with the ever-amazeballs #survivor, giver, live-r that it is holistic wellness influencer, IG’s @livi.love.xo , to chat all things #up—like...the vegan crush that’s turned her kitchen into a mini-corporate food lab, the tea on the luxe salt & sound therapy trends, the mysterious & miraculous in Sedona, and the real on lessons learned in pandemic-tide. A giggle fest, Yoda session, and straight up Godsend. Enjoy & do kindly share the listen.🧚🏽‍♀️ 🎙Listen (“The Wome

🍽Chef-Influencer Leticia Moreinos Schwartz Takes New York Virtual

by Fey🇬🇾🇬🇧🇳🇬🇺🇸  @pinkpurseintl Fresh from the snap of another pandemipocalypse Autumn, this time the Big Apple food scene is #vaxxed, back, and biting, baby—and so is New York/Connecticut-based chef, author, journalist, TV host, healthy lifestyle influencer, and American Diabetes Association Ambassador (*whew!!!*), Chef Leticia Moreinos Schwartz! Life has only sped up for her in the matrix since our interview  here , which was hot on the heels of her role in the stirring,  Viola Davis-narrated,  Merck  documentary  A Touch of Sugar ,  and the release of her critically-acclaimed third cookbook, Latin Superfoods (affiliate link). Since then, the trilingual, Brazilian-born, French Culinary Institute-trained whiz—who honed her chemistry skills in prestigious kitchens like  Le Cirque  and  La Grenouille —has been mixing things up, with tv appearances such as  Netflix’s Best Leftovers Ever! , and projects like her wildly popular, international  virtual cooking classes . With a corpo

🎙WOPH Podcast News 🎙 LaShonda Cooks: An Urban Artist, Her HairStory & An Iconic Museum of Art

by Fey  Twitter: @pinkpurseintl So many things happen in a blink—so quick that our minds seem not to process them, like the first tiny drops misting our Afro puffs or pig/ponytails, as we toddled after school with our mothers in the rain. Not so was 2020, which dragged its feet sullenly on, from the time we found out about coronavirus-19, until and through some argue, each gloomily present pandemic day. But there were folks, in what became an epidemic storm, who lifted our spirits in quarantine with their fun and funky content creation. And they are, as my late Mum would so warmly and jubilantly say (lilting  🇬🇾 Guyanese accent here), “to be commend-ed!” One such is LaShonda Cooks ( www.shondasart.com , IG:  @shondasart ), whom I interviewed for the WOPH pod, after she and an extensive network of fellow artists took the global social media #DontRushChallenge (🎥Watch:  https://www.instagram.com/tv/B-uLipsg00t/?utm_medium=copy_link  )  to the canvas-side of the sandbox. 🎙Influencer Entrepreneur and Publisher, Rosalidia Dubon

by Fey  ( https://amzn.to/319POd5 ) She was born here, taken from here as a child, and then returned here—as if her life had no agency. And then she was forced to funnel the energies of onset culture- and gender-bullying, and her mixed feelings of loss, into becoming an educational champion for herself, and later, a bulwark for new San Francisco-area women in business. Rosalidia Dubon, a Los Angeles-to-Honduras-and-back again citizen of the world, has become a symbol of what womanhood, women’s mentorship and entrepreneurship—and single motherhood—can be.  The Women of Power Hours continues The Conversation about the epic sociocultural experiences of Women in the world.  🎧Listen:  https://lnkd.in/gtkFh8f Host: Fey Ugokwe, Esq.; Guest: Rosalidia Dubon.

Award-Winning Actor and Producer, Edna Lee Figueroa

by Fey ( https://amzn.to/319POd5 ) And then there are actors who are activist, living their truth onstage, onscreen, and in the rallying streets. Edna Lee Figueroa, a SAG-AFTRA transplant from Puerto Rico, began living the dream at home and then in the grit of the NY theatre and indie movie scene. And then her anxiety hit harder, and she uncovered a secret she’d hidden away, even from herself, and found herself in the thick of things back in Puerto Rico, advocating for change.  WOPH catches up with this tremendously courageous and accomplished returning guest, and reveals how truly communally pivotal her past few years have been. The Women of Power Hours continues The Conversation about the epic sociocultural experiences of Women in the world.  Listen: ‪ https://lnkd.in/gz77NwB Host: Fey Ugokwe, Esq.; Guest: Edna Lee Figueroa.
